CompBrief (“Velarion,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the report storefront at compbrief.velarion.ai. CompBrief uses guest checkout — there are no user accounts, no subscriptions, and no sign-in. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle when you purchase a report and how we protect it.
Information You Provide
Email address: collected at checkout so we can deliver your report and send your receipt.
Order details: the public-company reports you purchase (ticker, report type, fiscal year) and your delivery preference.
Private Benchmark profile: if you use the Private Company Benchmark, the company profile you submit (industry, business description, size metrics) is used to select your comparison cohort and is retained as a short-lived, single-use preview record that expires and is not reused.
Payment: processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we receive order confirmation and payment status from Stripe.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard technical logs (IP address, browser type) from our hosting provider for security and operations. We use no third-party advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the providers that operate the service:
Service Providers: Stripe (payments), Supabase (order database and report storage), Vercel (hosting), Railway (report generation), and Resend (transactional email). Each receives only what it needs to perform its function.
Legal Requirements: If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as a business asset.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL) and access controls. Report downloads use expiring signed links. No method of electronic transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Order records (email address and purchased items) are retained as needed for delivery, support, refunds, and our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Private Benchmark preview records are single-use and expire automatically. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us; we will honor the request except where retention is legally required.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@velarion.ai.
CompBrief sends transactional email only: order confirmations, report delivery, and support replies. We do not send marketing email from a CompBrief purchase. Questions: privacy@velarion.ai.

CompBrief is a business-to-business service designed for corporate professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 18.
