Companies that benchmark against JHSC
1 company names JHSC as a compensation peer

Each company listed discloses JHSC in its own benchmarking peer group, as disclosed in each company's most recent proxy statement within the last two proxy seasons. Two companies are therefore absent by design: one that named JHSC in an earlier year and no longer does, and one whose own most recent disclosure is older than the last two seasons.

Incentive-plan design — the Compensation Discussion & Analysis

The Compensation Committee believes that overall compensation should reflect compensation levels of comparable executives at peer institutions while also taking into account individual responsibilities and contributions to the Company’s overall performance as measured by profitability, the market price of the Company’s stock, and progress made toward achieving long-term strategic objectives. The Company follows a pay-for-performance philosophy, targeting base salaries near the peer group median, providing strong cash incentive opportunities when the Company performs well, and granting stock compensation that rewards management for long-term success.
