The Human Capital and Compensation Committee's primary objectives in setting total compensation opportunities and the elements of compensation for our NEOs are to: attract talented and experienced NEOs and retain their services on a long-term basis; motivate our NEOs to achieve our annual and long-term operating and strategic goals; align the interests of our NEOs with the interests of the Company and those of our stockholders; and encourage our NEOs to balance the management of long-term risks and performance with yearly performance.
